Closing Ceremony 2013
Seminars for Professional Development of English Teachers by Foreign Specialists
- On the 16th of May, 2013 ETRC members had a chance to attend a seminar presented by Wilma Sur, a Visitng Scholar from the USA, lawyer and historian, who told about Gender Equality in the Classroom. The session was attended by in-service English teachers.
- English Language Specialist, Susan Iannuzzi, visited English Teaching Resource Center with a workshop "Incorporating Grammar, Writing and Assessment into your English Classroom". The workshop was attended by 27 enthusiastic English teachers.

- Training with a group of American specialists took place right after the ETRC Spring School 2013. The 8th of March was a double holiday for Moldovan English teaching community.
Special Events and Contests

The winners of the 2013 Photo Contest have been selected. Thay are Polina Bucico from Ion Creanga university and Valentina Serjant from Institute of International Relations of Moldova. The costumes they suggested for St. Patrick's parade were the best. Congratulations!

The first round of English lessons for teachers of other subjects is finished. Teachers from different lyceums and Ion Creanga university (departments of Mathematics and Computer Science mainly), who were enrolled in the course, learnt some basic phrases and expressions, rules of reading and grammar. They passed a test and are going to continue their training in April thanks to another student-volunteer from Foreign Languages Department - Mariana Ceban and eagerness of the ETRC staff to stay active. TThe meetings are held three times per week: Monday, Tuesadya and Thursday at 14:20. Stay tuned!

Discussion Club for Students "FACE"
You do not have to be fluent in English to join the discussion club. It was created in 2007 and every Friday from 2pm to 3 pm opens its doors to all those who want to improve their speaking skills and meet new people. Every session is facilitated by a native English speaker.
English Discussion club FACE gives you a wonderful opportunity to: - practice your conversational English;
- organize and participate in American cultural events;
- discuss current events and popular American culture;
- watch movies in English;
- meet new people!
One of the meetings in May 2013 was facilitated by Sam Oakland, Fulbright Scholar from USA. Dr. Oakland told to the participants of the discussion how is it to be a part ranger in the US.
