Painting Contest for Students 2008

Students were to illustrate a scene or a character from their favourite book, story or poem and make it come alive for them as well as share it with others.
The illustrations had to include:

  1. Student’s name, group, name of institution;
  2. Title and author of the favourite book, story or poem translated in English;
  3. A short essay (no more than 500 words) describing in English the character or scene that has been chosen (on a separate sheet of paper)

The work had to be done through pastels, crayons, or paintbrushes.
Three best works were chosen by direct voting and prizes were distributed! The creations of the winners are published online!

The winners were invited to present their works in Students' discussion club FACE on February 05, 2009.

The members of teh FACE cLub listen to teh presentations

Scripnic Alexandru telling about his impressions of "The Fisherman and His Wife" - a fairy-tale by C. Graham and comparing it with similar tales from national folklore.

Pogolsha Dumitru, student from History department , who used to take up some art lessons, was impressed by the adventures of Robinson Crusoe.

Covali Evghenia, firmly intends to become a teacher of primary school, shared her impressions from Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden.
